▲The city, Qufu in Shandong, is the hometown of Confucius. It takes about two hours by high-speed train from Qingdao to Qufu. Confucius is considered as one of the most important and influential individuals in shaping human history. His teaching and philosophy greatly impacted people around the world and remain influential today. In this city, the Temple of Confucius, the Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion are all well preserved. These three sites have been listed as the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1994.
▲Mt. Taishan, located in the city Taian, Shandong Province, ranks the first of China’s Five Famous Mountains. It takes three hours by high-speed train from Qingdao to Taian. Mt. Taishan is known for lofty peaks, deep valleys and beautiful sunrise. Also, rare cultural relics of ancient times achieve the reputation as a propitious place of worship for at least 3,000 years, serving as one of the most important ceremonial centers of China.
