Today we celebrate the International Women’s Day. To have the student feel the goodwill and sincerity from us, our teachers prepared a beautiful carnation for her, and wished her a happy and wonderful trip in IH, Qingdao and in China. Look, what a sweet smile!
Ms Pierrette is very interested in Chinese history and cultures, so we gave her a class of Chinese Culture about Papercuts. In the class, we introduced to her the history and development of papercuts, after which we also taught her to do paper-cutting by her own hands. It’s really a joyful class, we talked and laughed heart to heart.
She did a wonderful work. She learned to cut a Chinese character “囍”, which means happiness and a piece of snow flak. The red paper and the sweet smile enhanced the festival atmosphere.
Today is also a traditional Chinese festival Spring Dragon Day on the second day of second lunar month, so Pierrette took the traditional Chinese snacks “qizi” and “dou” here to share with the teachers.
We wish all students in IH, Qingdao a full, happy and meaningful life, and every teacher here is trying to achieve this. Happy Women’s Day to you all!
Welcome to International House Qingdao！
